I treat the scalp with specially formulated essential oils. When you sit with me you will receive a complete analysis with 200x magnification hair scope. Then I will formulate a complete customized treatment designed specifically for your scalp and hair. All in a relaxing environment.
Basics
The scalp skin surface is covered with what is called the 'Hydro-lipid Film'. The main function of the hydro-lipid film is to provide an external barrier defending against any invasion of bacteria and fungi. There are micro-organisms on every healthy scalp (good bacteria and bad bacteria). When the Hydro-lipid Film is unstable, microbes can multiply excessively. Therefor it is important to keep the scalp balanced.
Hair grows from the hair bulb (root which is located below the epidermis on our scalp) where the cells divide and group together to form a keratin known as hair protein.
Hair bulb/follicle is surrounded by and feeds of this tinny blood vessels while it grows (hence any lack of nutrients, hormonal imbalance will effect our hair growth/health etc)
The only time your hair is “alive” is at the root, once it reaches the surface it is a dead cell or a nonliving fiber composed of keratinized protein.
